BLAST’s approach attempts to transform war and displacement PTSD into dance, turning the sounds of combat into frenetic rhythms, converting the corporal and sound memory of conflict into a dance, transforming victimisation into a space of empowerment and vindication.
The electronics of Mad Monkey and the voice / performance of Queer Falafel merge in their own style, armed with industrial, dark, violent and danceable, sensual, and poetic sounds.
Textures and polyrhythms play a main role in their compositions, the broken cadences, the superposition of measures.
BLAST's sound defies genres, it is free, daring, without complexes.

[FR] BLAST est une forme, un langage, une exposition radicale qui exploite les conventions et schémas hérités de la 'normalité' imposée, développant un discours qui déconstruit les mythes binaires patriarcaux de l'Occident, les codes qui formatent les genres sociaux et artistiques.
L'approche de BLAST tente de transformer le trouble de stress post-traumatique lié à la guerre et à l'exode, en danse, transformant les bruits du combat en rythmes frénétiques, convertissant la mémoire corporelle et sonore du conflit en une danse, transformant la victimisation en un espace d'autonomisation et de revendication.
Les électroniques de Mad Monkey et la voix / performance de Queer Falafel fusionnent dans leur propre style, armés de sons industriels, sombres, violents et dansants, sensuels et poétiques.
Les textures et les polyrythmies jouent un rôle principal dans leurs compositions, les cadences brisées, la superposition des mesures.
