Sisygambis

[EN] Sisygambis, founded in 1989 by Christine Coulange and Nchan Manoyan, developed a unique video and musical creation. Ian Harris, a sound engineer from Manchester, joined the band during tours, bringing his expertise after working with Joy Division and New Order. Videographer Michel Comin captured the group's transformations during their travels, and guitarist Nicolas Dick joined in 1991. The debut album, "Translucid," was reissued in 2012, and the band explored new horizons in Eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Sisygambis shared their music in Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Russia, forging connections with a receptive audience. The group also participated in collaborative projects, integrating music and video on stage. After Nchan Manoyan's passing in 2009, the Sisygambis adventure continues with an ongoing exploration of new musical and visual frontiers.
